Pack Raft Australia has over a decade of experience in paddling, modifying, and repairing packrafts. As an authorised Alpacka Raft service agent in Australia, we provide various professional workshop repair and modification services. Our expertise covers repairs and modifications for the entire Alpacka Raft lineup, both new and old model packrafts, in addition to basic patching and repairs for most other common packraft brands.

Pack Raft Australia provides repair and modification services, including:

General Service and Repair:

  • Professional patching for Alpacka Raft and other brand packrafts.

  • TiZip® inspection and maintenance.

Retrofit and Repair:

  • Replacement of specific parts like TiZip® Cargo Zippers and Temper Assist Valve (TAV) for Alpacka Raft, D-Ring attachments, thigh straps, backbands, and general upgrades.

  • Self-bailing conversions for most current and recent Alpacka Raft models.

  • Thigh Strap retrofit service.

Warranty Assessment:

  • New and existing customers of Pack Raft Australia can get warranty assessments locally in Australia. Fill out the form and send your packraft in for evaluation. This saves you time and international postage costs.

If you originally purchased your packraft directly from Alpacka Raft, you will need to obtain a Return Authorisation Number (RA#) from Alpacka Raft via their own warranty contact form here.

Pack Raft Australia Service & Repair Process:

  1. Complete the Service, Repair, and Warranty form with all necessary details to help us process your request efficiently.

  2. We will reply within 2-3 business days with:

    • Instructions on how to prepare your packraft & postage instruction.

    • An initial estimate for service/repair or warranty assessment based on the information you provided. We may ask for more details or photos.

  3. For non-warranty service requests, a $55 inspection fee applies. This fee will apply as a credit toward any service if you proceed. If you decline the service after inspection, the fee is non-refundable and covers postage to get your packraft back to you and our time.

  4. After we receive your raft, we'll perform an assessment and provide a complete cost summary for your approval before starting any work.

  5. Standard repair and servicing turn around is usually around 3-4 weeks from receipt of your packraft. We also offer an Express Service option with turn around of 1-2 weeks which incurs an additional $175 EXPRESS fee, in addition to repair costs.

Packrafts are lightweight and tough boats, but like any inflatable, they might need repairs not covered by the warranty. Some parts may also need replacing during the packraft's use, or if they are damaged or misused. Below are examples of professional packraft repairs done by Pack Raft Australia over the years.
